WELCOME BACK CHANEL!!

IMG_6425.JPG

So I feel that I owe Chanel an apology. I kind of gave it the boot, last year, when I was over their foundations. Don't get me wrong, the formulas are great.....it was their color range. Now, I still stand by the fact that they need to work on that, but jumpping into their skincare pool has TOTALLY made up for it.

I started out with some samples. If you know me, you know I will sample anything before it buy it. It's a good thing and a bad thing. Anyhoo, I've been on the Chanel skincare train for about two weeks now. I wanted to REALLY get a feel and let some real time pass, before I made my opinion. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE.

The initial cleanser I tried, was the Le Blanc Mousse. I wasn't a fan. It almost left a finish that I can only compare to bar soap. Weird, I know. It just didn't feel clean.

BUT THEN....came the gel sample (GEL PURETE $45). *insert golden gates opening into the heavens* It was glorious!

As the weather changes, I'm getting a bit "oilier". I still use my Shu Uemura cleansing oil, to break down and remove my makeup. I'll rinse it off and then go in with my Chanel cleanser. Luckily, my skin doesn't get irritated by cleansing it twice. What I love about the Gel Purete, is that it foams and leaves my skin so clean. I almost feel as though this cleanser should be in the Le Blanc line, since it looks brighter after cleansing.

Le Blanc Brightening Lotion $67.50: Now, don't get this confused with a toner. It's a prep for either serum or moisturizer (or both). It smells so delicious! It does not leave skin tight nor dry, since there is no alcohol in it. This helps brighten skin and also helps your pores soak in your moisturizer so that you reep all the benefits.

The other product I was sampled and fell in love with is the Le Blanc Serum. BUT, for $195.......it's on the backburner for now :((((((((((((( DAMNIT!
