I can't get over how elegant and clean the packaging is. The pigment in the products are amazing. The formulas are distinctive and rich. I'm in love. What I don't k\love is the pricepoint. BUT, it's definitely expected with quality stuff.
It's been over two weeks, that I purchaced my first Tom Ford lipstick......one week later, I purchased another. Two different formulas, same amazing color and formula payoff.
Bruised Plum (creamy to sheer, right) it a beautiful berry-burgundy tone. A few weeks ago, I came across a picture of Rihanna, and she had "THE" berry-burgunday lip. I immedietly fell in love and was on the hunt. EXCEPT, everything I was coming across was too dark or too purple. I was having to mix colors and textures..........until I found TOM! As soon as I swiped it across my lips, I saw stars! First Tom Ford purchase was in the bag. Paired with MAC's Vino lipliner or Burgandy lipliner, and you're set.
Plum Lush (matte texture, left) is a beautiful raspberry color. With different lipliners, it can be hot pink, redish, or rasberry. I came across this color, from a write-up by an amazing makeup artist by the name of Nick Barose. I had to get my hands on it. For a softer finish, I will mix it with NARS lipgloss in Turkish Delight and no lipliner.
The thing I love about lipsticks, is that they can be bold as hell....or the softest wash of color (no matter how pigmented the color is). And by "softest wash", I mean put on some lip balm, rub your ring finger on the lipstick to pick up some color, and the PRESS the color onto your lips. VUAAAAH-LAAAAAH!
